Abbott partnered with Pepper Square for the redesign of the instrument software interface. This software was used on a number of platforms: notebook computers, large surface, and mobile devices e.g. iPads, smartphones, and instrument control screens. How we made a difference: 1. The home screen was the main start-up screen for the system. It monitored key modules and system information for the user. 2. The app window was “chromeless” because it contained no border “chrome” components, such as the address bar, title bar, status bar, and toolbars. While running, it used the entire display area. 3. The designed selection areas needed to accommodate touch, as the system did not come with a mouse or a keyboard. 4.
